이혜원 기획자는 서울을 기반으로 활동하는 큐레이터, 연구자, 출판인이며, 범고래출판사를 운영한다. 최근의 관심 분야는 특정한 장소와 시간에서 사회문화적으로 정상으로 일컬어지는 것과 그렇지 않은 것 사이의 갈등과 파열, 틈 같은 것이다. 대표적인 전시 및 프로젝트로는 2025 서울문화재단 선정 다원예술 프로젝트 《DMZ에 땅을 사는 사람들》 (A-O-Y Seoul, 2025), 리서치-기반 퍼포먼스 〈뜻밖의 보간과 최근접 이웃 찾기〉(인천아트플랫폼, 2025), 리서치-기반 기획전 《방금 전의 소문과 오래된 증거로부터》(CHAMBER, 2025), 국립현대미술관 다원예술 2024 《우주 엘리베이터》 〈온—보딩: 우주로 가기, 우주에서 사랑하기〉(MMCA, 2024), 《빛나는 도시, 어두운 황홀경―현대 도시의 디스토피아적 이미지들》(SeMA 벙커, 2024) 등을 기획했다. 출판으로는 『누아르 어바니즘: 현대 도시의 디스토피아적 이미지들』(2024), 『괴물성: 시각 문화에서의 인간 괴물』(2021) 등을 공역했다. 2026 일본 도쿄 아트 앤 스페이스 리서치 레지던시 프로그램의 연구자, 2024년 서울시립미술관 신진미술인 기획자로 선정되었다.
LEE Hyewon is a curator, researcher, and publisher based in Seoul, whose work explores the intersections between socially and culturally defined norms and their opposites—sacred and profane, light and dark—along with the uncanny sensations that emerge from these tensions. Her notable exhibitions and projects include JPSMK―KRPUS―KRINC―CNDGD (Incheon Art Platform & Chamber, 2025); People Buying Land in the DMZ (Seoul Artists Support Center, 2025); On—boarding: Going to Space, Loving in Space, part of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Performing Arts 2024 Space Elevator (MMCA Seoul, 2024); The Radiant City, Dark Rapture—Dystopic Images of the Modern City (SeMA Bunker, 2024); Noir Urbanism (Amado Art Space, 2024); and Modern Grotesque Times (space xx, 2021). In her publishing work, she co‑translated Noir Urbanisms: Dystopic Images of the Modern City (2024) and Monstrosity: Human Monsters in Visual Culture (2021). Lee was selected as one of the curators for the Seoul Museum of Art’s Emerging Artists & Curators 2024 program.
